Director, Filmmaker, Writer

 

Ahmed Ibrahim is a director and filmmaker who works between New York and Cairo. His work is heavily influenced by his relationship to both places.

Ibrahim studied law at Alexandria University before moving to New York where he graduated from the Media, Culture and Communication program at New York University. In New York, Ibrahim joined the Shirin Neshat Studio in 2011 where he worked as a producer and assistant director. His short film, Noor, screened at over thirty film festivals worldwide, winning awards including Best Muhr Arab Short at the Dubai International Film Festival. His latest short film Al Matour just finished its festival circuit.

In 2016 Ibrahim joined the assistant directors team on Homeland, Season 6 and Mr. Robot, Season 3 in 2017. His first feature film, set in Cairo and Brooklyn has already received the Dubai Film Connection development award. Ibrahim has also directed videos for platforms such as Visionaire Publishing and Refinery 29.  His stage directing debut was Roddy Bottum’s (Faith No More ) Sasquatch The Opera as part of the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland in 2017.

 

Ibrahim shadowed director Dan Attias on HOMELAND Season 7. He is also a 2018 Half Foundation fellow of the Ryan Murphy Television Directing Mentorship Program.

[ MURRAY BARTLETT ]

Actor, Writer, Producer

 

Murray Bartlett is an Australian actor and producer based in New York. He is most recently known for his leading role as Armond in the HBO limited series The White Lotus.  He also starred as Michael Tolliver in the Netflix series Tales of The City opposite Laura Linney, Ellen Page, Zosia Mamet, and Olympia Dukakis. He also starred as Dom in the HBO series Looking. Other recent US television credits include: Madam Secretary,

Iron Fist, Nashville and many more.

 

Murray is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney and has starred in numerous renowned Australian film, TV, and theatre productions, including the Australian tour of The Boy From Oz opposite Hugh Jackman. 

Murray has appeared in various feature films including August, Beach House, and Girl Most Likely, as well as a number of shorts.

 

Murray produced the short film Noor which won Best Short at Dubai International Film Festival in 2012.
